I strive to learn from new knowledge, research
*AND* experiences...I don't see how you can draw a distinction between experience and knowledge, nick??? As in, one person is an experiencer and the other a knower.... experience is knowledge!
Furthermore - regarding nick's ideas about
work, sleep and betterment --- I believe that it is very possible to achieve enlightenment from one's "professional life," in fact I don't think there is any more enlightened state then to have a job that fits one's lifestyle, in such a way that working is living, living is working, and work experiences teach you more about yourself and others,.... this is what we have got to find in order to be reponsible citizens of our republic.
but nick, I think the differences between your Rebel crew and your Union crew, are in YOU.... your uncertainties about your own consciousness!!!
Other then that, sure, there is a big country, er world out there, a man can live anywhere. We live in New York City, the cultural hub of the time zone, I don't think we will live here forever - but on the other hand your dirty crew WILL never live here??? what kind of learning from experience is that????
Then again, I would never live in South Carolina because North Carolina is SUCH A MORE PLEASANT STATE!!!!
go Tar Heels!!!
